The world held it’s breath last night as fans around the world waited patiently for their chance to see Michael Jackson’s final performance.

In 19 countries around the world, industry figureheads and Jackson fans united for the global premiere of Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT, the film made from rehearsal footage of the late King of Pop’s ill-fated O2 concert, due to take place earlier this Summer.

While some fans condemned both the film and Sony Pictures as a cynical attempt to cash in on the star’s final days, it’s undeniable that the film also gives fans a final chance to see at the man they had all loved – a meticulous professional, a fantastic performer – every bit the King of Pop.

Clocking in at 111 minutes, This Is It has been compiled and directed by “High School Musical” director Kenny Ortega from video footage captured during Jackson’s rehearsals for his farewell sell-out tour. Tragically Jackson died just weeks before his explosive comeback, due to what Judge’s have ruled to be a fatal overdose.

Below we have footage of the Los Angeles and London premiere’s which took place simultaneously last night, the film is now on general release for a limited showing of two weeks. Check back later this week for our review.
