Teaser Poster For The Box

The Box Teaser CroppedWhat would you do if one day, out of the blue, a small wooden box appeared on your doorstep? Inside this box is a button that if pressed will make you an instant millionaire. However, by pressing the button someone in the world dies.

So… do you press the button?

It’s a pretty delicious premise and one that if executed correctly could result in a return to form for director Richard Kelly. Having seen his pretentious head trip Southland Tales ridiculed all over Hollywood, Kelly will be hoping that his latest can put him back on the map as one of the most promising young filmmakers in the world today. His debut Donnie Darko rocketed him to stardom back in 2001.

The Box is scheduled for a December release in the UK and has a brilliant cast that includes James Marsden, Frank Langella and Cameron Diaz.

Adapted by Kelly himself from a short story written by Richard Matheson who also wrote the novel for I Am Legend, the film has everything it needs to succeed, not least a director hungry to emulate past successes.

Here’s hoping that The Box pushes all the right buttons and doesn’t disappoint. Take a look at the new poster below and please let us know…what would you do?
