Major Spoilers From The Doctor Who Set

Have you heard about this year’s drought warning? No not the weather, the limited supply of Doctor Who and Torchwood being drip-fed to the British public this year, still at least it’s better than going cold turkey right?

If you can’t wait for your next installment from David Tennant’s tenth Doctor then continue reading for the spoilerish goodness below, if you’d rather not know then I suggest you look away now!

io9 had the scoop from the Doctor Who set where they’re currently filming the last two feature length episodes of 2009. The two episodes in question are thought to be one long, arching storyline which sees Tennant’s Doctor finished off for good, paving the way for Matt Smith to take up the mantle as the eleventh Doctor in 2010.

The scoop itelf comes in picture form, the image features John Simm (who played The Master in season 3 of the new look series) and Timothy Dalton (in some very spiffy looking threads) stood alongside Tennant. Rumours have been abound for some time that The Master would be making a triumphant return in time to finish of The Doctor, and if this image is what I think it is then I think we’ve just had that rumour confirmed.

As for Dalton, the robes do look very Timelord-like, and the common train of thought seems to be that he will be playing the Chancellor of the High Council of Time Lords. Could this be an unholy alliance between The Master and another Timelord? Unfortunately you’ll have to wait until November to find out, until then check out the video below:
