Fury Not Seeing Any Action In Iron Man 2!

The nerds (like me) waited until the tail end of the credits during last year’s Marvel Super-Hit Iron Man just to see his cameo, we bitched and whined when it looked for a while like Samuel L. Jackson might not be recast and now – we’re told that Nick Fury won’t be seeing any action in Iron Man 2!

MTV Splashpage spoke to Samuel L. Jackson about the film recently, and asked him the question that ALL nerds are currently asking: “Will Nick Fury be kicking ass in Iron Man 2″? Apparently not, according to the actor:

“Not this time, not yet,” Jackson told MTV News of the likelihood we’ll see his character become the action hero fans know in “Iron Man 2.” “We still haven’t moved Nick Fury into the bad-ass zone. He’s still just kind of a talker.”

Asked whether fans will have to wait until the superhero team-up in “The Avengers” to see Fury get ready to rumble, Jackson simply said, “Looking forward to that, yeah.”

It’s common knowledge that Marvel have an impressive slate of films in the coming years, hell, their stock has swollen to double it’s worth because of it – so chances are we’ll be seeing Jackson (and Fury) in many more films to come – although whether or not he will finally get his chance to kick ass and chew gum remains to be seen!
