Friends Reunited?

Can this possibly be true? As one of the Friends series biggest fans, the news that the gang will re-unite to make a movie of the hit sitcom is terrific!

Studio bosses have already got together to prepare a script for a film version of the series according to News of the World and are ready to break the bank in order to get the main cast on board. James Michael Tyler, who played “Gunther” in the series confirmed to the News of the World:

Friends: The Movie, is definitely on. I still keep in touch with a lot of the cast and they say that they are really keen.

This would mean Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer following in the footsteps of the fantastic success of the Sex And The City movie, and all back together for the first time in 5 years.

The stars have all enjoyed mixed career fortunes since the 10th and final series of Friends ended and they have all made no secret about a desire to do a film, with Lisa Kudrow saying:

“It would be so fun to be with all those people again”.

So, with Warner Bros. already drafting in Friends creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman, to write and produce the film, this is a massive step forward for the project.

With all of the main actors now in their 40’s, it would be exciting to see how the characters have changed and developed and what they are all doing now.

Will Joey still be a womanizer? Will Chandler still have all the jokes? And what about the on/off romance of Ross and Rachel?

A huge success in the making I think. Roll on Summer 2011 when the movie is due in cinemas.
