Meet The A-Team: Four New Character Spots

You’ve heard about the new A-Team film starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Jessica Biel right? If you haven’t, then you clearly haven’t been reading FilmShaft on a regular basis. The film based on the cult 80’s series The A-Team, drops into theatres this Summer and it looks set to rock the house

For those of you not familiar with The A-Team, 20th Century Fox have released four new TV spots via Yahoo, each introducing a character from the team. The spots are pretty cool and each features a little unseen footage too, so they’re well worth a look. Check out each explosive clip below:

1980s TV action gets a reboot with this new version of The A-Team, which shifts the Vietnam vet backstory to a group of Iraq War vets who become mercenaries for hire. Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces) directs from a script by G.I. Joe’s Skip Woods. Liam Neeson heads up the crew as Hannibal, the brains of the operation, with Bradley Cooper as Face, UFC star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson filling in for Mr. T as B.A. Baracus, and District 9’s breakout star, Sharlto Copley, inheriting the unhinged role of “Howling Mad” Murdock. Jessica Biel also co-stars.

US Release: 11th June 2010
UK Release: 30th July 2010
Australian Release: 10th June 2010

First Look: CGI Smurfs!

Whether we like it or not it seems that Columbia Pictures are ploughing ahead with the big screen adventure of the lil’ blue men – The Smurfs!

Based on the cartoon which we all know so well, which is in turn based on the cartoon strip by Belgian cartoonist Pierre Culliford, 3D Smurfs will be invading our screens next year.

If you can’t wait until 2010 to get your first look at the (depressingly happy) fellas then good news! A new teaser poster has been snapped by eagle-eyed Smurf fansite PvcBlue.com and was picked up on by us from Latino Review. Check out the image below and be afraid, be very afraid!

More New Moon Footage To Debut At Scream Awards

If you consider yourself a Twilight fan, if you simply cannot wait for the release of Twilight sequel, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, then I’ve got some good news for you – previously unseen footage will be released on Tuesday 27th October at the Spike TV Scream Awards.

Twilight and that other vampiric franchise, True Blood have earned a pile of nominations at this year’s awards ceremony.

In fact the two have earned a combined 19 nominations including Best Fantasy Movie and Best TV Show, and if that wasn’t enough, the two will even be going head-to-head in a few categories, including Best Ensemble and Best Villain.

To mark the occasion, Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson will be joining co-stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart on stage to introduce previously unseen footage to the world, if you can Twi-hards, I’d suggest tuning in and checking it out!

The 4th annual Scream Awards kick of at 10:00 P.M. ET/PT on Tuesday 27th October, mark it in your calendars.
