Zombieland Sequel Updates…Hell Yeah!

zombieland-starring-woody-harrelsonHow brilliant was Zombieland earlier this year? It sort of came out of nowhere and turned out to be one of the funniest movies of the year by far. Lots of fat jokes, Twinkies and Bill-f*cking-Murray made it pure joy from beginning to end. Now director Ruben Fleischer has given us some updates on the sequel, first rumoured earlier this year. Speaking with Moviehole.net Fleischer confirmed…

“Sony are very interested in a Zombieland sequel”

Reportsthat the original cast are all willing to return is brilliant news. Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin are all up for another spot of Zombie hunting.

The best news about all this is that Fleischer has hinted that the blood-splattering sequel will be in glorious 3D! And I quote:

But the most interesting development? Fleischer says the next film will likely be 3-D – yep, mother-hopping three-dimensional Woody vs. Zombie action!!

Believing “the genre really lends itself to [3-D]”, and convinced – via what we’re hearing and seeing of “Avatar” – the technology is now there, Fleischer’s very keen to throw a few zombie gizzards in our direction. “Dead” cool, right!?

Pass the Twinkies; I can’t wait for this one!
