Will Smith & Charlize Theron Confirmed For Hancock 2
Director Peter Berg has been talking again, this time to MTV about the upcoming sequel Hancock 2. News broke last month that writer had been hired for the sequel, which is expected to expand on the alien homeworld of Will Smith’s title character.
However while it was always assumed that Smith would return for the sequel, getting solid confirmation of that has been hard to say the least.
Luckily for us, MTV News were on the case. Talking to the director as he prepared to jet off to the Toronto Film Festival, MTV asked him whether Smith and Charlize Theron would reprise their roles as the ancient, super human beings with a penchant for public damage.
“Everybody’s going to come back for a sequel,” Berg said in response to a question about the two megastars.
Given that the actual question regarded Smith and Theron, the word “everybody” is a very general one to use. Does this also mean that PR man Jason Bateman will be making a return too? I certainly hope so!
Last September MTV spoke directly to Theron about her role in the film, her overall response?
“Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride!”
I’m sure it is Ms. Theron, better not let Jada Pinkett Smith hear too much about that train ride though hey?
