Two new images have hit the net for Disney’s big screen adaptation of the popular video game series, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan, Gemma Arterton as damsel in distress, Tamina and Ben Kingsley as the evil sorcerer Nizam, the film is directed by Mike Newell.
The images, one of which is Gyllenhaal in full body armour, the other featuring him and Gemma Arterton, come to us courtesy of Fantasy.fr. Personally I’m still unsure as to whether Disney can pull this one off, but then again I felt the same about Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and look how cool that turned out. Check out the images below:
From the team that brought the “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy to the big screen, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films present “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” an epic action-adventure set in the mystical lands of Persia. A rogue prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.
