Twilight Convention On It's Way!

new_moon We all knew it would happen eventually didn’t we? After the phenomenal success of last year’s Twilight, starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and a skinny Taylor Lautner, the world went Twilight Saga crazy (well most of it anyway). This year is no different, the Twi-Hards (yes that is their real name) took over the San Diego Comic Con earlier this year where The Twilight Saga: New Moon blew away all competition.

And now there’s an official Twilight Convention.

Starting in New Jersey on August 28th 2009, the official Twilight Convention begins it’s tour of the United States, to quote an excerpt from one promotional site:

We are proud to present Creation Entertainment’s Official TWILIGHT Convention in the Northeast for the first time: AUGUST 28-30, 2009. With fantastic guest stars from the film, wonderful programming, panels and events, themed parties, autographs and photo ops, live musical performances and more: make your plans now to join the celebration! The entire convention takes place in the Hilton Parsippany Hotel.

One wonders if the Twilight Convention will be enough to keep the screaming hordes away from next year’s Comic Con, especially as tour dates run into Autumn 2010. On second thoughts probably not, but the fanboys can dream…
