The first full length trailer has now been released for Disney’s A Christmas Carol. Shot in motion-capture animation, offering a 3D feast for the eyes AND starring Jim Carrey and Gary Oldman, A Christmas Carol promises to be a major event this holiday season.
I’ve been keeping an eye on production for this one all year, we covered the Cannes event earlier this year and also got the chance to participate in an interview with the film’s producers, so to finally see some footage of a decent length is bloody fantastic to say the least.
I’m quite happy with the trailer overall, I would say it doesn’t give too much away but then we all know the story already don’t we?
Ebenezer Scrooge begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk and his cheery nephew. But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it’s too late.
