Silent Hill may not have rocked the box office the first time around, but nevertheless a sequel to the video game adaptation seems to be well underway!
The 2006 original big screen outing saw a devoted wife and mother (Radha Mitchell) venture into the infamous ghost town Silent Hill in search of her lost daughter, only to discover the town’s demonic secret. While it only made $47 million domestically, talk of a sequel has been rife since the release of the original film.
News reaches us today that script writer Roger Avary and producer Samuel Hadida are finally working on the sequel to Silent Hill, although at this point the labels behind the original – Sony and Tristar – haven’t signed on for anything.
Hadida’s Davis Films are aiming to shoot the sequel next year, after “Resident Evil 4” wraps up production.
Roger Avary is best known for his writing credits on films such as Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” and is also pegged to write another upcoming video game adaptation – “Return to Castle Wolfenstein”, again for Hadida’s Davis Films.

This could get interesting I saw the first Silent Hill film yeah it was good but if producer Samuel Hadida and Roger Avary do it right just like the first then it will the roots to the game,
The duo are also working on Return To Castle Wolfenstein movie as well.
Hadida was set to make Onimusha with christophe Gans but the project is down at the moment because Gans is working on Fantomas movie remake.
Thank You.
