Rob Zombie’s H2 finds itself an unlikely hero. Official H2 synposis is here!

Get your betting slips at the ready because the official synopsis for H2, the sequel to Rob Zombie’s 2007 “reimagining” of the 1978 John Carpenter classic Halloween, is here.

Are you ready? Here we go…

“It’s that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable.”

This is the first major bit of news we have had since the release of the teaser trailer last month and once again not many juicy details have been released, I was personally hoping for some details on what the deuce is the deal with Sheri Moon Zombie’s unexpected return. I have always been the biggest fan of the original movies and admittedly was never too happy about the need for a remake so I am reserving my judgement on the need for a sequel at all but if there is money to be made….I just hope it ends here and we don’t get a new Halloween Resurrection in 25 years time.

So, personal opinions cast aside now, who are your bets on for the “unlikely hero”? Will it be Laurie, Loomis, Michael’s Mom, Annie or maybe even Michael himself?

Scout Taylor-Compton, Tyler Mane, Chase Wright Vanek, Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Danielle Harris, Ezra Buzzington, Brea Grant, Chris Hardwick, Matt Bush, Dayton Callie, Richard Brake, Howard Hesseman, Bill Fagerbakke and Bill Moseley all star and opens in theaters August 28th.

"I don't mind these reboots, if they can reboot comics such as Batman, and Superman every 30 years, why not update horror classics such as Halloween, Amityville, and Friday the 13th."

That's a very fair point you're making, I wish you'd left a name so I know who I'm talking to.

I actually welcomed the Halloween remake when it was originally announced, the thing is I really didn't like what Zombie did with it, it's so far removed from what Halloween is about that it isn't even a recognisable Halloween film. As I've said before I think it's just Devil's Rejects with Michael Myers thrown in the mix.

from the trailer it looks like Zombie borrowed from the Jason Vorhees mythos, where Michael's Mom's ghost is urging him to kill his family members.
I think the unlikely hero is going to be the Laurie character. I think she's going to go Ellen Ripley on Michael. But we won't know until we see the movie on August 28th.

Number 6? That was awful Craig lol shame on you!, and not to be pedantic but it was 2007 not 2006 rain92 :P

Zombie completely ass raped this series, anything that comes after the 2006 remake is not "Halloween", it's a goddamn mess!

I have to say I'm in agreement. Loved the original, loved part II, 6, H20, but Zombies? They're just "Devils Rejects" in Halloween's clothing.

The trailer was pretty cool though! :P

    I agree..

Just Zombies versions - the last one was pure white trash!

Do you mean the series in general or just the Zombie versions?

The whole success of these movies is a figmant of Rob Zombies imagination! They're terrible!!!

I think its pretty much confirmed she is a figment of Michael's imagination

My money's on Mike's Mom. Something alone the lines of - "Never killed herself in the first installment. Went into hiding. Blah blah blah"
