Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 Gets A Title

Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 On Stranger TidesWith Disney’s D23 expo going on the news seems to be coming faster than I can write it! As such I’m kind of cherry picking the best of it today – the rest will follow tomorrow.

And of course the best of all the bunch is this: Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, coming Summer 2011!

The fourth film in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise – as series that relaunched the fantastic Johnny Depp back into the stratosphere – will here on in be known as Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides it has emerged.

In Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, although Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly are not expected to be returning to the high seas anytime soon.

The new film is thought to be the first in a new trilogy, and rumour’s have been circulating that the film may introduce us to another Sparrow – Captain Jack’s brother.

What do you think of the title? I’m not overly sure at the moment, it doesn’t seem to have the same ring to it as “Curse of the Black Pearl” or “At World’s End” but I suppose it could grow on me.

    i have to agree with mary no kiera no orlando to relieve the teduim then g forget it, i wont be going to to see it either disney are flogging a very dead horse

    im dismayed at the prospect captain jack was dead inthe water half way through three, only the marriage onthe deck and the subsequent tragedy brought it to life ,most of the rest i cant remember,johhny should quit while hes ahead every part hes done since have touches of sparrow, disney of course dont seem to realise that it was an ensemble show,orlando and kiera are well out of it --another trilogy god help us no
  • I thinks it's a cryptic clue as it's an anagram of "Garotted Sinners" which may signify some darkness to the next movie, or that's more likely wishful thinking. Honestly, I don't think it has the impact and "stranger tides" does not really have an omminous ring to it.

    ANOTHER Sparrow? - I hope not. It's too much of the first one already.
    Frankly, the title is no concern of me. If Orlando and Keira is not in it - I'm not interested in the movie.
