Jude Law Discusses Sherlock Holmes 2

Sherlock Holmes surprised more than a few with its buddy-comedy style and the fact Guy Ritchie didn’t blunder and ruin his shot at “the big time”. It did have it’s critics, but then again, don’t all films? Doing the press rounds for Repo Men, Jude Law has left a major clue for the world to deduce regarding the much-talked about Sherlock Holmes sequel. Given the figures for the first movie, it was only a matter of ruddy time before Warner Bros. ordered Downey Jr and Law back into period clothing with a cattle prod. Jude Law, actor and part-time nanny shagger (sorry, I couldn’t resist!) had this to say:

“I haven’t been given the absolute… it’s not like next week but I think it’s sometime this year is what I get. We had the best time, and we were also very aware that we had a hell of a lot more material to use. Conan Doyle wrote over fifty stories, and there was so much to take from. Once we knew it was doing well financially, we all started throwing in our ideas of where it could go and what should happen next.”

It is also known husband-and-wife scriptwriting duo, Kieran and Michele Mulroney, were bashing out the sequel…while the first film was in production! Confident or what? All this is waiting for is the official green light. Guy Ritchie is working on a variety of projects at the moment, but for Warner Bros. Sherlock Holmes 2 will be taking precedent over such ideas. Unless they get a new director in.
