Jason Lee takes on directing duties for GET BACK

Jason Lee has made a pretty decent career out of playing slacker types and even though the actor has many projects currently in development it hasn’t stopped him taking his seat in the director’s chair for a new comedy.

GET BACK is a time travelling comedy about two music geeks that get transported back to the 60s where one of them gets involved in a love triangle with John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Sounds pretty funny on paper and my first reaction was that the film would have a pretty brilliant soundtrack. However it’s not a secret that the rights to Beatles tracks are very hard to get hold of.

Chances are that Jason Lee himself will star as one of the pair. So, time travel, The Beatles, maybe a few jokes aimed at Yoko and Jason Lee making his directorial debut all make this an interesting little project to keep in mind for the future.
