I Spit On Your Grave Remake Casting News

day_od_the_woman As reported earlier this year, 1980s rape-revenge flick, I Spit On Your Grave, is up for a remake (currently shooting) and casting news has been announced. Bloody Disgusting report that Chad Lindberg, Daniel Franzese, Sarah Butler, Jeff Branson and Amber Dawn Landrum have signed up to get castrated, raped, maimed and killed.

Along with Wes Craven’s The Last House on the Left, Meir Zarchi’s original, with its queasy blood-letting and snuff film aesthetic, has remained a notorious title (hence the remake). Directing proceedings is Left in Darkness helmer Andrew R. Monroe. It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out, as it’s not exactly everybody’s favourite exploitation film.

Expect a much slicker style of picture this time around.
