Hansel And Gretal Still Set To Kick Ass

Hansel And GretalWas it really April when I first covered this? Damn time flies…

Paramount Pictures have signed up Dante Harper to pen the script for their big screen adaptation of the children’s classic, Hansel and Gretal. The film, which is being directed by “Dead Snow” co-writer/director Tommy Wirkola for Paramount and Gary Sanchez Productions, sees the brother/sister pair as professional Witch hunters – so expect action aplenty!

The story takes place 15 years after the pairs first encounter with a witch, a story told in the classic tale first written by the Brothers Grimm, and the pair now make a living as bounty hunters – took that gingerbread house incident a bit seriously didn’t they?

According to THR, Kevin Messick, Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Chris Henchy are producing the film, which is being described as a horror/comedy and is being likened to Shaun of the Dead. First film today that I’m genuinely looking forward to!
