There have been a spate of articles spreading throughout the net over the past week regarding the long awaited Mad Max 4. First came the (entirely justified) speculation that Mel Gibson might not be returning to the franchise, then came a rumour that “Terminator Salvation” and “Avatar” star Sam Worthington had been pegged as the lead in the sequel.
Now finally, somebody has managed to pin down Mad Max director George Miller for the inside scoop. The lucky folks in question were Australia’s ABC News, and while discussing the film’s own possibilities, Miller showed the team one of the cars set to feature in the film. Talking about his latest hot rod, Miller was keen to emphasise the high action content of the film:
“All the vehicles are hybrids cobbled together from the wrecks of the past,” says Miller, standing next to a couple of parked-up examples. “They’ll have to be very high performance because the film is shot at speed. The reason this movie’s so big is it’s got just a huge number of stunts. We’re trying to do stuff that I believe people haven’t done before.”
