Casting News: Goggins VS Predators

News has reached us this weekend that star of FX series “The Shield,” Walton Goggins, will be fighting for his life in the Nimrod Antal directed sequel – Predators.

The news broke on ComingSoon.net that the actor had been signed for the role in the Robert Rodriguez produced project, although at this point details about the actors role in the story are unknown.

Hazarding a guess, and based on his work in The Shield as a slimeball backstabber, I would suggest that he’ll be cast as the mysterious and unassuming serial killer of the group, but at this point that’s pure speculation on my part.

What is known at this point of course is that Predators – the sequel to the popular, yet unlucky sci-fi series, will hit US theatres on 7th July 2010. We also know that Danny Trejo has been cast in the film as “Cuchillo,” although again his role is currently a mystery.

However with production set to start soon I would expect more news to be trickling out over the coming months, so stay tuned for more!
