And In More Vampire News: Daybreakers Poster
With all the fangs flying round FilmShaft towers at the moment I almost forgot about this particular film. I know, shame on me! Anyhow, a brand new poster has been released for Michael Spierig & Peter Spierig’s DAYBREAKERS, starring Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawke, Isabel Lucas and Sam Neil. As vampire films go, this one certainly has an interesting take:
In the near future, most of the human race have been infected by a mysterious desiese which in turn has transformed the world into a civilisation of vampires. The remaining human population are held to harvest blood supply, and world leaders have been completely seduced by the power this new virus has given them. In a world where society is happy to flirt with the dark side, a group of renegade scientists find a cure for the vampiric desiese which has held the world captive for so long. But in a world of immortality, where illness is a thing of the past and every man, woman and child feels like a god; the question is…will humanity prevail? Or will greed keep the world enslaved?
Okay so my shot at a synopsis is amateur at best, but as you can see I’m hooked by the premise of this fantastic new film, due out in 2010. Check out the new poster below, courtesy of MTV, and a half decent synopsis too. Oh and if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, check it out here.
